OMG how cute are those! I have 3 tote bags cut out ready to sew, but they sure don't hold a candle to those! I haven't tried "stipling" yet--not sure I even know what that is! I just machine sew front to batting! The blue/yellow one is my favorite too! It would totally match my house, since it's blue and yellow EVERYWHERE! Did you use a pattern? or make it up on your own!
Great work!!

They are all beautiful. Don't know which one I like best.
This is probably a dumb question but what is stipling?

I am probably not describing this correctly, and remember I am just a beginner, but stippling is just free motion quilting where you drop the feed dog on the machine and put on a darning foot instead of a walking foot and just manually move the material around under the needle to do the quilting. I have seen it called meandering pattern, but my quilt shop owner/teacher calls it stippling.

Great job on the totes! With all the stuff I carry I'd need a much bigger one tho! Did you use a pattern?

Re: Quilted Tote bags/purses
I did not use a pattern, just chose fabrics I thought went well together and started putting them together. I did get on the internet to try to find how to make the tucks in the bottom to give it the base. The yellow and blue one is actually much larger than it looks in the photo. I cannot remember the exact measurements, but it is a diaper bag. One of the women in my Sunday School class asked me to make a diaper bag for her daughter, who was expecting. I even quilted the lining on this one as I figured it would need to be very durable to carry all the stuff babies need. I made several last year for Christmas gifts. All the ones in the pictures above were given away as gifts. I guess I really should quilt one for myself, lol!

Re: Quilted Tote bags/purses
I have just recently bought fabric to make football totes for myself and 3 of my special football moms. I really need to get going on those. Football is only 4 weeks ago and that means 1 per week!
