Well, if this quilt got a red ribbon then you were robbed. I see blue ribbon all over it with my trained eagle eye! And yes, I saw the MC blocks in this one, love 'em!! I have two quilt kits (MC) I'm dying to make, but I know they're not "mere child's play" so I'm waiting to dive in until I can give it lots of time. I do well with learning from books. I'm going to be picking your brain for help, so look out.

This quilt is beautiful. These are my colors. I can't wait until I am good enough to produce something like this!

Well, that quilt is absolutely breathtaking. Fantastic colors. Don't you love paper piecing. YIKES...7 mitered corners. Beautiful job.

Evie, the quilt measures 95" square and the blocks are 13". There is one row of blocks at the top that does not show because it was draped over the rail.

Susie, you won't believe this, but after studying several books and paper piecing patterns and trying their methods, I finally figured it out from a book called Miss Rosie's Floral Quilts by Carrie Nelson. Her explanation was so simple that I finally caught on. Did you know there are various ways to paper piece? You can even do it by not sewing thru the paper, just folding it back, which is not what I did on this one. I had lots of paper to tear off, but DH helped me and it wasn't so bad. It was a relief to get all those blocks made!
