WOW Girl, That is one very pretty quilt. Can't believe it is your first. Your color choices are perfect, the teal so bright, the dark chocolate color, and then the white to soften it. I really like your block pattern. Great job.
Thanks so much for sharing. Happy quilting. God bless and hugs across the miles, Shirley Mae
PS Since you live in Grain Valley, have you been to that little quilt shop in La Monte? It is on the south side of the road, kitty-corner across the highway from a gas station. It is Patchwork Place or something like that. The owner is really nice and loves to teach people new things. I visited her shop when we were back on vacation and staying at Knob Noster State Park for a few days. Check it out. Nice fabric selection.

Re: Girl finished quilt
Hi everyone, Yes this is my first quilt and yes I liked the Churn Dash pattern.. I also hand stitched the blocks inside and the edges and binding. I'm very proud of my self. I had to do alot of reading and buy items I though I would never need. I bought the book Omnigrid Quilters Starter Kit and a very great book of 1940 by El Burns and put it all together. I made this with the help of my hubby, ( he help choose some colors like the dark brown and soft white). The rest was all my ideal. It took awhile for me to do the photo bucket and failed to take a photo of the back to send with it. I have sewn some daisy kingdom dresses for me and my daughter when she was 10 years old and that was a nightmare!!! I'm no pro! Paitents is the key word, I'v enjoyed every minute making it.

girl, you have done a fantastic job! Did you hand quilt it?? Did you say that you hand pieced the churn dash blocks?? It is a great quilt! The border treatment just "makes" the quilt! Congratulations!!!

WOW - fantastic quilt. This just can't be your first. I think you are yanking our chain! I love your color choices and that border thing - very unusual. I never seen that before. Give yourself a big pat on the back and strut around the house for a while!
