Mine's finished. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow evening after work. Ann did you have any problem with the 3" binding. I wish I had trimmed it to my usual 2 1/4-2 1/2, but at least it is done.

Very nice. I have the book and am going to try one of these when I get some other projects under control.

Re: Paducah Sewing School Project
Thanks for all your kind comments! I hope others from the class will post their photos, too. There were several color choices and all were very pretty.
I did stitch in the ditch. And I used invisible thread on the top, so that is probably why you can't see any lines, xteacher. MastiffMom will chastise me, but I still do not feel comfortable with free-motion, and I never like to practice on a item that I have worked hard to piece!!
I did cut my binding strips down to 2".
Yes, the 'bonus' runner is the same colors, predominately red. I've been working on it and will post a photo when it's done.
The kit called for white binding for this one, and red for the 'bonus', but I thought I'd like the red better on this one.

Re: Paducah Sewing School Project
gmaann, I like the red binding on this one. Did you do your bonus as one like in the book, or as two separate ones like they had in Paducah? I am doing mine as two. When I can't decide on something, I ask dear hubby and make him decide. However, I cannot squeeze out enough binding to do both. So I guess I am going to use some of the backing material. That will throw in another print, unless I can find a blender that has the same aqua colors. I have to go to our little quilt shop tomorrow, so I'll see what he has. I did buy an extra half yard of backing in case I needed some more. Opinions, anyone?

I did the second one as a runner - 5 blocks. I'm not sure I'll really like the white binding on the second one, but I DO like the red on this one.
