Thank you all for the nice compliments!
WeSignificant they are old crocheted doilies that I bought at a little antique shop here in town and they were a real bargain! Much cheaper than new, plus I just like the old stuff!

Joanne, this is beautiful! I love the Hydrangeas and the doilies, you really did a nice job on this! Gorgeous!
P.S. Is the wood it's on a table? I can't really tell from the pic, but it is gorgeous, too!

Very Beautiful!
I prefer the straight edges for your table runner. The shape of your table does not look straight sided and if you had made scallops I do not think it would look as good as it does!

Georgiapeach you asked about the table. My DH made it years before I met him. It is made from one tree and is gorgeous! He put 16 coats of Tung Oil on it and it is impervious (sp?) to liquids..and it gets hard use! He also made 10 chairs after we were married..amazing man!
here's another picture, maybe you can see it better:
Well, gee, guess I can't post another picture in the Edit of the original post! lol!

Love the table runner!!! Did you cut the doilies in half? If so did you have to do anything to keep them from unraveling?
