OH MY GOSH!!! I wish I could do that!!! I have never put a zipper in anything.Those are adorable!!!

Inka, all of your projects are so inspirational!!! I just HAVE to try one of these bags. The zipper is what the hold up is. These are beautiful and so professional looking.

And I, like Azgal, look so forward to your postings. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Thanks for all your kind words! Do not be afraid of the zippers - I have discovered the EASIEST way it to put them in by HAND sewing! Baste them first firmly, so that they do not shift. After sewing in the middle of the zipper ribbon, you can fasten the edges by invisible or x stitch. It is just the beginning of the zipper you have to take care of - leave the "tail" hang inside the bag (not tooo long).
I also had a close look at cosmetic bags in the shops - you can learn a lot there! A handmade one I had seen used a very simple (machine sewing) method - the top of the bag was bound by a (folded) bias tape and the zipper was just put under before sewing all layers together. Hope this make some sense, lol ...
