Thank you all for your kind words. I know this looks difficult but the hardest part is really cutting out the fabric. I used the book "Look What I See Quilts" by Pam Yamin for the pattern and directions. I got the templates on Ebay. They are made by a company called Come Quilt With Me. The biggest thing you need to remember when doing the hexagons and triangles is to press the seams toward the triangles and to NOT trim the "bunny ears" because you need them to match the seams when you sew the pieces together then again when you sew the rows together. If you remember that, you'll have no problems.
ME- The Home For Wayward Scraps will be open as long as there are orphaned scraps who need a loving home. :)

PS, I used glow in the dark fairy frost for the inner border of the one for my new nephew!

What a fun quilt...and a great learning tool as well! I can just see the little ones pointing out all the "I Spy" items! :-)
You sure did a wonderful job constructing this quilt, Lee!

Very nice quilts Lee. And thanks for the tips. I bought these templates and want to use scraps to make make sort of a color wash with the hexagons down through the top. Not real sure yet if it will work, I really like yours, looks like little jewels.

Thanks for the suggestions about ironing and cutting the tips.
