Suzette..

I took a piece of the PressN'Seal, laid it over the design page in the book, traced the design I wanted. Carefully pulled it off the book page, then positioned it on my quilt top. Stitched the design, then carefully tore off the PressN'Seal. It was harder to do on this quilt though, dark marker, dark fabric, very hard to see. Finally found a lighter colored one I could go over the darker with, then it was fine. Another reason to do even a quilt this size in sections, it was hard to keep turning & manuevering this quilt to stitch on my home machine, lol. Waiting for a Viking Sapphire 850 with a 10 inch bed & hoping that will help too. PressN'Seal works great if your stitch isn't too close together, try it on a sample block first & see how you like using it!

On another note, want you all to know, I did all this free motion with feed dogs up, I have so much more control of my stitches that way. Also, when I stitched in the ditch, I used the same foot, darning one I think it's called, as we use for doing free motion. I like doing it with that better too, & being able to go in any direction with it, especially when you are trying to wrestle with a quilt this size, on our home machines! Works great, what a difference, so play around with your machines when quilting & see what works for you...
