Re: Pumpkin Harvest
Thanks for the idea of pumpkin bread, I have never heard of it. I will serf the net for a recipe. If you Cathy32078 have a recipe would you share and send me an e-mail.
Swtsarajane, I must share the funny about the cowboy and cowgirl. My DH made them out of metal (typically they are made out of wood) because he did not want them to deteriorate. The funny is that he thought the girl wasn't as endowed as he liked. So he increased her breast size to his taste. LOL

Re: Pumpkin Harvest
BusyLady here is an old Recipe I use for Pumpkin Bread. I don't know how to convert canned pumpkin to using fresh pumpkin. LOL
1 Cup Brown Sugar firmly packed
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup canned Pumpkin
1/2 Cup cooking Oil
3 Eggs
2 Cups Sifted All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Soda
1/2 tsp of each; Salt, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, All Spice
1/4 tsp Ginger
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans
1/4 Cup Water
1. Combine Sugars, pumpkin, oil & eggs. Beat well.
2. Sift together: flour, soda salt & spices. Mix well.
3. Mix all together & add the Nuts & water.
4. Pour into 2 well greased Loaf Pans
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick can be inserted & comes out clean. Turn out onto wax paper to cool. Yummy served warm with real butter.
Enjoy. I like to bake up a lot of these and freeze them. I wrap them in sev. layers of foil while they are barely warm and pop them in the freezer. Keeps the moisture in.
