Yes, I do treasure my quilt. I have the "double wedding ring" she gave to me and DH as a wedding present.

Abbigail, I have not found a quilt pattern like this one or one with this name so I suppose, like me, you will have to get it "from down the road" You know, that is the only way my mother had of getting a pattern or from the Farmer's Gazette. She didn't have the many, many sources we have today.

I like the white one best....the pattern "pops" better and it really shows off her intricate use of stripes but both are awesome. Wow hand pieced and hand quiltted....more patience than I have.

they are both beauties you are sooooo lucky I would just hand quilt machine quilting would distroy all her hand work.

Your quilt is to be treasured, plus your sister's! They are beautiful. I agree, I wouldn't machine quilt them over the handquilting - handquilting would make them look much, much better.
