Maria,
They are beautiful. Only us here on this forum could look at red bricks and imagine a quilt. I find myself looking at carpets in offices and hotel lobbies differently now too. LOL.
Thanks for posting, very pretty.

LOL, Michelle, yeah, quilters must be kind of mad...
I was wondering how to answer if someone came up to me and asked why I was taking all the closeups of buildings and doors... Since noone quilts around here, the true story would just have seemed even more suspicious, LOL!

I often see quilty type pics when we travel. Last summer when we visited our son in MO, I attended church with them. The DGDs started to giggle when I pulled out a pencil and sketched a pic of the beautiful stained glass window behind the altar. Those always inspire me and I quickly sketch them. I often sketch pics I see in dr offices for an idea later on.
Out doors is so inspirational. Nature provides so many ideas that we often overlook. I can't do much quilting in our motorhome when traveling but will be at my daughter's next winter where I can spread out my stuff and use some of my ideas.
Thanks for all the neat pics. Need to dig out travel photos from trips to England and Scotland yrs ago. I took lots of pics of old bldgs, doorways, cathedrals, etc. Didn't quilt back then. Could be useful now. Hugs, Shirley Mae

Maria, those are fantastic pictures. I can see you doing the motif of the black iron door with the stars in the center. It sort of has a McTavish look. Also the grey and red pillars for block ideas.
Look forwward to seeing your pictures Susanna.
And CindyB, love the last picture, so green that the flower shows so vivid. However, I didn't know there were palm trees in Iowa! LOL just kidding, I think the pictures are from your vacation.

I have saved a few pictures and want to look at my slides from England. They are from the mid 60's and were to be made into a video, but still have not gotten them back yet.
Nature seems to be my inspirations when I do the Bob Ross paintings and have not done it it years.
All of you have inspired me and tomorrow, well guess it is almost tomorrow her, I am going to add a couple of binding to a cheater panel to send to a a female at an Army Hosp. This will be this first time in a coupld of years or longer!
Have a great SUnday!
