Maria, the second and third ones look like one of the ones on the site you posted. What fun! I, personaly don't have a clue as to how to get a computer to do that, but I enjoy seeing your results.LOL

Maria, I signed up for the class also, but I have not played around with anything yet. I printed out the lesson and will read it over tomorrow when it is nice and quiet around here.

Sew Sew - how fun! We'll be classmates!

sunsup- the beauty of it all is that you don't have to know anything to make the computer produce these images. You only ned to open the software and click on an image, and then you get a new one
It is not random - the computer does a lot of complex math to produce the new image. So, even if you have no clue what you'e doing you can just click until you get an image you like
Oasis - no, no twisting and turning (they came out like this by just clicking...
As for software, I'm a Mac person so I've played around with various free "fractal software" for Macs. The one I used for these images is called FractalWorks. And, funny you should mention the McTavishing - I keep thinking that I need to settle for a design in the end that will allow me to practice McTavishing on a bigger piece than the 8"x20" or so that I've tried so far. But, having seen the link that Littlebit posted in my thread in the Machine quilting forum yesterday, I can also see other very fun ways to fill a space
WeSignificant - LOL, I've never made a quick trip quilt, and first I though you were joking, but now I'm thinking you're probably on to something there... Interesting thought indeed.
Stormy - I really like your analogy with buying clothes!

Oh, I can just imagine Inka, our ultimate Queen of Paper Piecing, turning one of these into a quilt! But I, for one, find these daunting, kinda like the idea of climbing Mount Everest...!
Have fun at Quilt U, Mary!!
