900 pieces?????Wow. That was a lot of work. I don't think I would have the patience to cut it all out much less put it all together. You are super amazing for sticking with it. It sure turned out pretty. Love the colors in the baby quilt. And that t-shirt quilt has to be loaded with memories. Love the little furry friend too.

The baby quilt is very nice, the t shirt quilt is going to be a treasure to that gal & that apple core quilt is too cool. I LOVE scrap quilts. BUT the best of all the pics, is that BEAUTIFUL MODEL who is gracing your apple core quilt
Will you give that baby a smooch & a belly rub for me?
Seriously, nice job on ALL of em & thanks for sharing

Suz, beautiful quilts. They are all so special. Man, that Apple Core looks like it was some kind of tedious. Beautiful doggie, too.

Re: Finally got the photos on my computer!
Thanks so much for the cyber hugs, ladies. On the Apple Core:
Took me about 9 months total which included collecting all the scraps and fat quarters and fat eighths (guess I'll be doing another scrap quilt soon to use the leftovers up). Cutting them out was the main problem, actually. Used the very small rotary cutter and my Brooklyn Revolver which made it a little easier. I started piecing this in September of 2006. My DS gave me a Just Curves foot for my 50th (well, I kinda asked for it) and that made the piecing a breeze, even attaching the rows together was easier than I thought. I would do one row a day (about all I could stand); there are 28 pieces in each row and 32 rows which makes for a pretty good size quilt. I'll let you know when I quilt it.
Sadiedaisy: I don't own an LA, although I'd love one if I had the room. I bought an Easy Quilter after doing some research on line and demoing (is that word?) one at a quilt show. You have to baste the quilt and the quilting space is limited to about 36" wide by 16" deep but I've found it to be a lot easier than trying to drag the quilt through my machine. With the Easy Quilter your machine sits on a rolling cart with handles and the quilt is stationary on the frame which fits on a 36" x 60" table. I use one of those plastic resin tables; it attaches with C clamps. I'm glad I made the investment considering it was a WHOLE lot less than the LA would be, even the smaller ones.
Well, I'm out of breath now, so I'll shut up LOL

Re: Finally got the photos on my computer!
Your quilts are beautiful, especially like the baby quilt. However. . . . . . . . . . .. .
I am very interested in the "Easy Quilter". I just went to the website and wow, only $250.00! Also it is so compact it would fit in a small area and on a regular table. I have a workbench in the garage (I used to do stained glass) that would possibly be a good place for the Easy Quilter to go.
The website doesn't show too much, would it be possible for you to post some photos of your setup? I'm not quite sure how the quilt is brought up to the machine.

Suz, thanks for all the info. The Easy Quilter sounds very intriguing. I hate dragging quilts through my machine, especially anything bigger than a lap size, so I'm going to have to look into that. As Oasis said, I'd love to see pics of your set up also.
