I thought it looked like perhaps a horse or a deer down on the road. Looked like it had "legs" ... guess these old eyes are tired.

I thought it looked like a horse or a maybe a dog. Being Calif. born I'm kind of a city slicker I guess. LOL Actually I can tell the difference between a horse and a dog, but at this distance. . . . . .
Have Fun,

Manitowoc is about 70 miles north of Milwaukee, right on lake Michigan. It is also about 35 south east of Green Bay
If you ever get to Wisconsin again, let me know, and I'll give you the grand tour:)

My mother was from Ladysmith. I really miss going up there during the summers and an occasional winter to visit family. They are all gone now so no one to visit.

Our bad winters look like that.
Around Feb. I find all that white tiresome. But it does make for good quilting weather provided you have the needed materials

Thanks for your offer quiltnewby, I'll let you know if I get back to Wisconsin.
That's cool that you live on Lake Michigan. I've never seen such a big lake! My mom grew up in the U.P. of Michigan and told me how you couldn't see the other side, but it was hard to imagine a lake being that large. Pretty cardinal picture too.

I saw the horse and thought oh my, does the owner know it is loose and does the picture taker actually realize it is in the picture.! then I scrolled down and read the post. Whew! Beautiful postcard perfect. But I don't want to live in it. Done that before and never again!
