Just had a thought. If you have kids or ever have a visiting child this quilt would make for a great I SPY game!

What a neat idea! Instead of an "I Spy" quilt, it's a story quilt! Kids of all ages will enjoy this memory quilt.

I think it looks GREAT! I did have a "moment"...what's with the daisy print...? Then I realized they are fried eggs! Love it!

Thanks everyone. It is like an I Spy except there are no kids here. LOL

Dawne, I used 20 fat quarters for the whole thing except the inner borders. I still had lots of scraps so probably didn't need that much. I cut 9 1/2 inch squares for the center and then 6 inch wide X 10 inch pieces for the outer border. It's about 50 X 60 finished. I meant it as a lap quilt and he is quite tall so hopefully it will work.

What a sweet idea! It's an I Spy for a grown up and everything represents something special. Very creative! I think it came out really nice-that black inner border helps to anchor all the prints. Great job on your quilting, as usual!

Thank you so much for the pic of your well done and very interesting quilt.I love the variety. I want to make a "things I like" quilt for my 14 yr old GD and your quilt is such an inspiration as to how to arrange it. That inner border is a great idea too, ties it all together. My GD loves purple so I'll have to throw some of that in somewhere. Thank you for sharing. What a special Valentine Gift.
