Did you use the Triangle in a Square ruler, or did you have to wing it? It does seem a bit daunting, but I would love to make one!

I used the triangle in the square templates. The directions called for #sets of 6in strips, but didn't say what size and then I figured out use the template and make the #sets.
Thanks for all the compliments. I also thought it a little daunting looking at the instructions, but I just took my time and really followed the instructions. The only thing I discovered with the instructions was with the triangle in a square, the "wing" parts needs to be twice what they said to cut out. I put the white fabric on the back. Really wanted to put the dark blue and let the white thread show better on the back, but didn't have enough of the dark.

Sunsup, I had to go back and look at pic, it DOES look like it's floating doesn't it. See something different each time I look at it.
