GMFG - hexie quilt - Done!!

In my mind I call this Albert’s Quilt. I started it when we started driving my DB, Albert, to Seattle for his many doctor appointments while he battled cancer. He drove 70 miles from his little town near Mount Rainier. We met him in Tacoma and drove him the rest of the way to Seattle, another 50 miles. I needed a portable project for all those waiting room hours. And I needed some large cuts of fabric so I grabbed what I had in my stash and that is how the black and yellow fabrics came to be. Albert passed away in July 2020. After losing Al I set this project aside until February of this year when Judi revitalized my interest in it last February. I finally finished it tonight, May 19. Seven years. A lot faster than my last hexie project which took me 12 years. It will be about 60 x 80“ when I get it quilted (not by hand!!!). Thank you, Judi.
