I would imagine that each person can relate to some time with your Son while wearing one of more of his shirts. Possibly some occasion that he was wearing one of them. What a great way to help keep their memories of him close to their hearts and yours especially.

Have Fun,

Thank you all for your kind comments. Don was such a wonderful man - doing this is a way to honor HIM as well as to give my daughter and their children - and his Mother - a gift of memories. I often said that if I could have picked out a husband for my daughter from a catalog I couldn't have done any better than she did herself! He was just such a very caring husband and father.

It is amazing to me how soft and cuddly the quilts turned out to be. I had thought with those shirt fabrics that they would be stiffer, but they are very soft. I used flannel on the backs of all of them.

Ann, that quilt took my breath away. You did such a wonderful job and what a tribute to your SIL.

I can say with some authority that these quilts you are making for your family are the greatest gifts you can ever give them. When they snuggle under them, it will be like cuddling with their dad/husband. God will bless you for doing it. Mary Z
