A friend of mine asked me to make a quilt for her husband several years ago. He drove a truck, was in an nloading accident and when he got out of the hospital it was stolen. He LOVED that quilt and asked me to make another one. They have recently purchased the local bowling center and Larry is a regional pro. All of his shirts for the pro tour are black with hot pink flames, thus the colors. The hardest thing about this quilt was getting that perspective right. I had a thousand paper drawings, life size, before I got it right. The lettering font is liftef directly from the fonts he has his name on on the back of the shirts. They and the ball and pins are apppliqued, I went to the bowling association site and downloaded the exact spec sizes for each, so those are correct for the size of the "lane". T make the lane, I did not cut the strips, but marked a 45" wide piece of fabric and marked 1.5 inches intevals on one end and 4 inches on the bottom. Drew then sewed on a line from the top to the bottom and got the perspective all without having to cut the fabric! Extra lines in the lane came from quilting the lame with tan variagate thread. This actually turned out like I saw it in my head, except Ruth is right, I forgot the arrows!

Sharon,
I was just kidding but then I thought could you draw them on with perm. marker? Just a thought.
