I like the idea of using up scraps of fabric. I copied the web site. I hope to try it one of these days. It would make a great rub for the Kitchen.

That is a really neat idea. I've been interested in making rag rugs our of fabric, but haven't been able to find a technique that I really like. This looks like it would be easy and you could put it down for awhile if you ran out of scraps. Not to mention, it doesn't seem to require a lot of extra materials.

Thanks for posting that! I'm going to look more into it:-)

I like it but it looks complicated.

You did a beautiful job!
I have been Locker Hooking since 1997. I have made rugs & wall hangings. To me, it's very relaxing & something to do while watching TV. Best books out there are by Kathleen Carpenter, who is the developer of fabric locker hooking. She has also written books for locker hooking with yarn. This craft is easy for even a 7 yr old. Kathleen's DD's only needed help with the outside corners, when the canvas was turned under & had to go thru multiple layers. Books & Hooks are at JoAnn's, some WalMart's, & several craft stores.

Thank you for your advice - I can now see how it works! Will save my trimmings from now on and maybe make such a rug one day!A good way how to use "ugly" fabric and used fabrics, by the way ... May I ask for advice where the cotton canvas can be had?

Bright and beautiful colors. That looks like a hard project.
