Re: Quilted Feathered Geese
I just purchased this pattern just now, love it, & with all my scrappy quilts, this one should work out nicely that way! I can see it made up with maybe a darker background color than the white, for our bed anyway, lol, then add some more borders around the edges to make it fit our queen size bed! This really is a beautiful pattern & you did a great job!
Cindy, the pp doesn't look too hard, I doubt you will have any problem with it, & you can post here to the forum if you do, right!
I looked at all her other patterns too, but just liked this one the most. I have her wedding star pattern to tackle someday too! Saw it one year at the quilt show here & it was absolutely beautiful also!

Re: Quilted Feathered Geese
I've ordered this too--it is sooo beautiful.
There are some lovely batiks on sale at QIAD Quiltshop fabrics (40% off). Does anyone have the pattern handy so you can tell me how much of light fabric I need? (I have a tendency to buy lots of dark batiks especially in purples, blues and greens. I think it would be cool to have the cream/light in a light batik, maybe the green on sale.....)

Does anyone have a link to this pattern, I'd like to buy it too! I've never paperpieced but I love this pattern! I think I'd like a little less contrast for this..just because the person I would make it for wouldn't like it this way.
SallyC did anyone help you with the amounts of fabric needed?? I would also like to order batiks from QIAD!

Joanne - go to Judy Neimeyer's website. There are a lot of her patterns there. I bought one (different pettern) but can't start on it for a while. I may have bitten off more than I can chew. LOL

Thelma (maker of this truely awesome quilt) tells me background is 3 1/2 yards (and of course you'll need lots of fat quarters or a large stash for the rest!) Got my light green batik ordered (plus more batikc in blues, green and purples!)--can't wait!
