You can do this one in just days. It takes more fabric to make but it's great to be so fast to do. It makes a spectacular quilt.

I heartily recommend QIAD patterns for beginners. You will be surprised at how beautiful simple quilt patterns can be! My favorites are the Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps, Irish Chain, and the Tossed Ninepatch. I just made a Dessert Time quilt and it was EASY as well.
I have made several Yellow Brick Road quilts (not a QIAD design) and I love them, but if you don't enjoy lots of cutting...might want to choose something else.
