i grew one about 10 years ago from a bulb kit if i remember correctly think it came from k mart was truly stunning around christmas time so later in the spring when it had went dormant or died back i planted it in the ground we live in n. alabama every year it comes back and blooms in the spring time it has multiplied and i now have about 10 of them in a little area i never do anything really to protect them a few years we put a little pine straw over the ground to protect them but i guess that wasnt really necessary because they are still thriving with no added straw to them and it get into the mid teens here quite often 3 nights ago we had 17 degrees here so they are tough little beauties

I have one that I got 23 years ago. Some years it blossoms and sometimes it doesn't. I have a bunch of others, too. I let them die down in September (no water) and then in October or November I might give a little water. Fertilize monthly (ideally, but I seldom remember)after blooming until it is time to go dormant. 'We are too cold to put them in the ground. I do set them on the porch for the summer.

Of course I would be impressed. I do well to grow hair.

Several times I heard a comment about Paper Whites. Never having grown them before I looked at them on the internet and I think I will try growing one some of them next year. I might even try to find some this year and see if I can get them to grow. Do you all think it is too late?

I've had luck with paperwhites but only did them once. They smell like glue.
