The quilts I'm making for the grandkids are definitely "BRIGHT" LOL. But the one I'm piecing for my craft/mom-in-law's room is very delicate and floral. Traditional fabrics. After these projects are almost completed I'm going to make a Chinese Lantern quilt out of some terrific oriental prints our local Quilt shop just got in a month or so ago. My DH is very excited about that one! I love him so much. He supports everything I do. Even when I decided I wanted to learn to play the fiddle, he went and bought me a pink one. LOL

My youngest grandbaby, Tristen. He is the recipient of the blue quilt. Since his daddy is busy protecting our country and they live in Omaha (I'm in California) the only hugs he's gotten from me so far are from the quilt. (Rosebud3, doesn't he look like Nichole when she was a baby? (one of the twins)

Hello Armymom

Very nice quilt. I have never thought about adding the scalloped stitching to the border. I like how that looks.
