Knitnoid, that little touch of red is just what it needed...draws the eye to the blocks and helps as a transition to the wider dark border.

LOOKS GREAT!!

How big did it turn out to be? It looks large in the photo; I doubt these are 6" blocks!

The blocks are 9", and I added the beige and squared them up to 11". So the block section is 55 x 77 and with the borders it finished out at 66" x 86".
