JoAnn -- I think the colors you mentioned would be a lovely sewing room. The light will bounce off the white walls. I'm still not back in my sewing room, but have the computers setup. Since this is technically the DEN if I were to have to sell the house, I kept that in mind when picking the wall color. I used a Sherwin William Satin called 'Sole' - it's a nice soft yellow. 2 coats over a think coat of Kills. The walls before were a flat dirty beige.

I need ideas on how to maximize my space efficiently. I have three machines to set up and a Little Gracie frame along with way too much other stuff. All ideas and suggestions appreciated.

I keep fabric in bins in the attic. What are your ideas on how to be able to locate the fabric quickly. I guess I need organizational skills to make all of this come together.

I am trying to simplify my life and it seems I am only complicating matters.

Thanks for your help.

Joann When ever I clean out the sewing area I take an empty bin and fill it with things that Im not using and havent used in awhile. I store this in a closet or under a bed to make less clutter in the room. I am rearrainging again this weekend based on a lot of suggestions from the ladies here

Please post more pictures and make suggestions on sewing rooms and/or quilting studios. (Quilting Studio sounds like an official artist.) I am ready to begin on my sewing room and I need inspiration.

I like things neat and tidy but sometimes mine does not stay that way. I love the office cabinet that CalicoPuzzle posted. What a great idea to repurpose and amazingly useful!

Nice Sewing Room. Can I move in? I would love to have room to place my fabric on shelves. Mine are all stacked up in my closet.
I really like you sewing room. I can dream on.
