The quilt is hand embroidery,it was a stamped kit that was pre-quilted. I pulled the knots through and the thread only shows on the one side. Quite a challenge. The stitches are satin, chain, backstitch, and cross stitch. The stitch that made everything stand our was the black outline stitch, that took forever and truthfully was very boring. I have done other stamped embroidery kits in the past but I can say this was the hardest either that or I am getting older and it was harder on my eyes. Thanks for your nice comments.

Oh, my goodness, the great work that went into this, it is gorgeous! I used to embroider in my "younger days" and always loved the look. I don't have the patience anymore to work that long on a project. Whoever gets this will have a precious gift. carol/kittyquilt

Oh that's just beautiful...I don't have the patience for stamped cross stitch any more...I mostly stick to counted cross stitch, if I do it at all!
