Girl, you just blow my mind! What with work & all, do you ever sleep? This bag is just gorgeous. You are very talented and have a great eye for fabrics and color. I too think you should start up a business. I can see this bag being a huge hit amonst the college age. Need to make a few and put them in a Hip little Shop or two. Love it~!

Michelle,
This is so nice. I love the way you put two different pattern fabrics together and it looks so great. I could never do that. If I try to put a flower pattern with something else it would look like a two year old did it.
You are so very talented! I agree with the others, you should start a small business and make some extra cash doing what you love to do.

Michelle, I got my pattern yesterday, and I have a couple questions for you, since I know you are the expert.
The pattern calls for fusible interfacing in the outer fabric, and lining.... Is that enough body for the size of this bag or did you use fusible fleece in the lining?? I know the pattern calls for the fleece only in the top bands, but I thought that how nice the handles turned out in the charm bags, I might use fleece in the handle pieces. Do you think this would work, or make it all too bulky??
Also, Did you use the inner pockets pattern as large as it is, or did you make changes on your bag?? OK.... more questions if they come up once I get started. Thanks, Michelle, you have helped so many of us with our charm totes, and we all do appreciate you!!

Hi Anne,
You're gonna love it. On the fusible interfacing and the fleece...I followed the pattern exactly and used fusible interfacing on the outside and for the handles and fusible fleece for the inside panels and pockets. I also didn't make any changes on any of the sizes. Now all that said, I used the Amy Butler home dec weight fabric and I'm very happy with it's structure. The fabric is like a twill and much sturdier than cotton. If I was doing it with normal 100% cotton I may want to use fleece for the outside panels too.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be in Japan this week but will have access to the internet and will be checking in often.
Good luck.
Michelle
