Thank you, one and all!

I used my regular machine to satin stitch (wish I had an embroidery machine!), no hoop and just put the filter underneath and pinned in place. This was my first time at it so some of them aren't as good as others, but the baby won't care. Had to play with the numbers for width and length for each animal but it was fun. The coffee filters came right off! Hardly any little pieces left at all. I used some of El's tools to get in the small places to gently lift the paper, but anything will work that fits. I now have a package of coffee filters with my sewing supplies! <grin> I think I would like to do an ABC quilt in this manner.
