I LOVE the pics! I esp love the mama & baby moose. I'd like to kiss em!

That was so wonderful of you to make that man a quilt. I'll just bet he'll find a special place for it wherever he calls home.

The dogs are obviously having a freaking blast!

The scenery pic is breathtaking. Alaska is on my list ;)

Thanks so much for posting!!

The pix are awesome - how fun to see the dogs so excited about their jobs. Your quilt is beautiful and a special treasure for the Champ.

My friend was there!!! She was at the finish line and saw Lance cross the line....... whoo-hoo. She said it was the most thrilling thing she has ever seen. I think she saw the 2nd place musher too. What a great quilt. I wish my friend could see it. Thanks for sharing the pictures. What an amazing race.

Thanks so much for the beautiful pictures. Several years ago I almost applied for "Teacher On the Trail" but knew I had to be realistic, with CFS. A SD teacher won a few years back. It is a neat program. Vern Halter, musher, in previous races, came to the High school where I taught at my request. He had never been to the high schools. Kids loved it. He brought Blizzard the second and last time. Don't recall who he brought first time. Plus all of the gear. He is a native of SD. So is David Moon, dear Susan Butcher's husband. She is really missed.
