That is just stunning, Caroline!!! All those vibrant colours set off by the white-on-white fabric make such a beautiful quilt. You did such a wonderful job of piecing. 
And what a pretty kitty! What is it about fresh bedding or a new quilt top that attracts kitties? I know I've never enclosed a cat-magnet in a quilt block, but my furbabies seem to know the minute I start to spread a project out on a bed or on the floor and they come running. lol
