Lovely flower and kudos on hand applique!

I was going to make Magic Vine for my parents for Christmas, but got sidetracked and didn't get it done. I've got all the fabric and most of the applique done, I cheated and bought the fusible w/ the printout on them. Total lifesaver! Might have to start this one again!

I might decide to do another one, especially if I end up having a girl next time(DH and I are planning on 1 more kid). Either that, or I'll do a Grandmother's Garden quilt. Something with lots of flowers, that's for sure. I'm going to do an Overall Sam out of old shirts for DS, but I don't have anything for the background so I can't work on it yet. It's kinda hard to find quilt patterns for little boys.

I've been working on the second one, and my stitching is much improved. I guess I just needed some practice:) If I keep practicing every day, I'll be as good as my grandma in about 30 yrs. or so:);

The block is lovely. My hand stitches suck, so I only applique by machine - I'm jealous.

Really like the hamster. Had a dwarf rabbit once. He would beg for treats. Found out he was only supposed to weigh 5-6 lbs., he weighed 12. He really liked those treats.

My DH had a dwarf rabbit when he was younger, as well as ALOT of cats. The rabbit taught the cats to rub noses to say hi. I think the rabbit was smarter than the cats:)
The only reason my hand stitches are as good as they are is that I've embroidered for about 13 years or so. I'm still no where near as good as my grandma, but I'm getting there. My mom won't do anything by hand, she hates it! She even finishes her binding by machine:)

The main part of the flower and the leaves are some of my favorite of the 30's prints I have. I've been looking for something to use the sunbonnet geese in for a couple of years:)
