I think it is easier and quicker to make y seams than to do all that cutting and sewing and cutting of HSTs. I had to make a lot of HSTs for the Christmas tablerunner.
Oasis, Your quilt is beautiful. I love the stars fabric.

Oasis, that's a darling quilt. I've made a windows quilt with the "Y" seam - I'm not that good at it. If I ever get to make another one I'll use the HST method. I'm good at making those - LOL. I love the Christmas fabric you used.

These quilts were lovely. Your red-work quilt is one of the best I have ever seen. Not, if some of you have posted red-work quilts, I have not seen them.
The contrast between the two is neat to see. I have wanted to make one like Geneva's to see how it would look with a plain light/white color in the middle. It is a very contemporary look and sometimes I go "out of the box" when I write notes about quilts I want to make. I am beginning to love the art quilts, even tho I have done the traditional in the past.
Oasis, I have the fabs to do your rendition, but will make the window borders smaller, thus making it a smaller version. I do like yours.
Thanks to you both.
Hugs
