WoW, indeed daring colors, but the end result is fabulous.

Great quilt for this time of the year. I like the colors myself.

Your quilt it beautiful!! Sometimes I have to put mine away for awhile then when I come back to it in a couple of months then see it's not as bad as I thought. I usually like them really well. Possibly you were just tired or something. Then if you still aren't happy with it, well it will make a great gift!! lol

Thanks everybody for your warm words! They are an incentive to go on ... As I have promised, I will send another picture when the quilt if finished. Actually, the "fans" are a "Dresden Plate", only one of the petal colours merges with the background in the picture (it is not as bad as that in reality) - that reminds me, an advice abour colours: I have heard that it is a good idea to look at your blocks (before sewing) through a CAMERA - it is supposed to show the darks and lights better than the bare human eye ...
Love to all,

Very nice...not a big fan of orange but it looks nice in your quilt. Great job on the quilt.

INKA - also on your cell phone you can turn the camera to black and white. That really helps with determining values. I don't know if you can do that on a digital camera but it might be worth looking into.

You did a good job on the quilt. I really like what it did to the Dresden Plate. You could display it every fall and you wouldn't be tired of the colors. It is a neat quilt and I think when you finish it you'll like it better than you do now.

Inka,
I think you did a great job with this quilt. I especially like the block in the center with the 4 circles that sort of inter-connect. I haven't seen one like that before.
