How lucky you are to have quilts from your ancestors. One of the reason I started quilting is to make hierlooms for my family members. I hope that someday my quilts will be cherished as you cherish yours.

Those quilts are beautiful. I have one my great aunt made in 1942 and it is all hand stitched, of course. I am new here and will learn how to post pictures...<g>

The first one, the red and white one sure looks like an unusual pattern. I love the star quilt and the middle one is so soft and pretty. You are fortunate to have grandmothers, and great grandmothers that were quilters....they pass down a love for being creative. Very nice.

GREAT QUILTS! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE RED AND WHITE ONE IS? I DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE EVER SEEN ONE LIKE THAT BEFORE.

I don't have a clue what that quilt is called. I thought it looked like a broken heart!
