Thank you everyone for your nice coments. This is a quilt that was most definately a labor of love. The quilt, because it was to be a suprise, had a challenge of getting pictures. I didn't have any of my ancestors, so I borrowed them without my parents knowledge a few at a time. Each visit I would borrow some and return the ones I had borrowed previously. I can't believe they never rally noticed. I would only borrow the picture not the frames. I also called on cousins to help with photos they had. When my parents recieved the quilt, they kept saying where did you get this photo, or I have never seen that photo. It was such a pleasure to make this quilt for someone that really did love it as much as I loved making it for them.
If you have ever thought of doing this you should. The feeling you get when it is given is the best feeling in the world.
