Re: The digital camera is home again!
Hi Leetec...what wonderful quilts. I love the one in your daughter's room. Love the colors. They are all fantastic. It's the first time I have seen the Princess Di fabric used. I bought some when it first came out and have never done anything with it. It's kind of a hard fabric to use since the flowers are so far apart. But you managed to get it done beautifully. Is there a story behind the quilt?

qltsbme, Thank you for being protective of the quilt, it shows you care. When I give someone a quilt all I ask is that they love it. DD definitly loves this quilt and she takes better care of it then some adults I've seen. She's had this quilt for 10 years and it looks as good as the day she received it. Pretty good, considering she was only 8 then. To be honest, it's partly my fault it was on a lumpy bed, I should have waited for a day she made her bed, she usually has her bed looking very neat. Again, thank you for caring and no need to slap anyone.
grammy65, no real story behind the Diana quilt, other then to memorialize her death. I would have bought the fabric even if it hadn't been made for her because I love blue and roses, I especially love blue roses but they don't actually exist. Anyway, I made this pattern because it was early on in my quilting and it was the only one I had at the time. If I made this quilt now I'd probably use a yellow or cream, maybe even a very light peach, to bring out some of the color in the roses instead of the stark white.
Thank you all for saying kind things about my quilts. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I forgot that I have some Princess Di fabric at home in my stash! I should find it a permanent home in a quilt. I think I have two pieces - one is a yard cut to save for because and the other is to use. I don't remember how much I have to use. Maybe I only have the one yard cut. Great - now I have something that will bug me until I find it. teehee - I HAVE to play in my fabric tonight - oh goody goody goody

Lil'Sis, I just love your quilts! You do very nice work. Had to laugh about your DD's bed. The quilt is just awesome and quite a beauty. But be glad it is on the bed and you can find it. Teens are never known for their immaculate rooms Mom! lol
