Hi qltsbeme....love the quilts. Did you do the quilting design in the open area free hand or did you use a quilt pattern? I like that kind of quilting on a longarm. Don't care much for all the filling in every inch of the quilt. I bought a thing from "The Pattern Man" and it sits on top of my bars and I put the quilt design on it and copy it with my laser. It really works great. Would love to know about your pattern.
I am a batik freak. Love the look, love the feel, love to work with it. It's fun to take a very traditional pattern and do it in batiks. Also love fossil fern, but can't seem to find much of it anymore.

OMG, birthday buddy, how absolutely beautiful. The more I look at everyone's work the less I want to figure out how to download my work on here. The colors are breathtaking!!!!

Qltsbme...if there is any way you can find out what pattern you used, I would be so grateful--! I love the Courthouse Steps pattern and your batik quilt is similar to the lantern layout. Can you contact the place where you took the class and do some investigating?
I'm sure I am not alone in wanting to know more...
