How bout the hobby Gammel?

Well, you know my opinions aren't real popular but here goes,lol :oD
The Gammell short arm is only 16", the same as the HQ and 1" smaller than the Voyager 17 but Gammell wants $6000 for it. I think the Voyager 17 and it's new SR is the better deal, Before June 1, the V-17 was $1999 + $600 for the SR. Now, it's $2500 + $600 for the SR, not a bad deal. Of course, opinions are like youknowwhats and everyone has one, but this is mine, Amie

Quilterbee - the Voyager 17 sounds like a good deal when it goes on sale.

The V-17's don't go on sale unfortunatly, they are a flat $2500 and $600 for SR. I ordered mine before June 1, because I know the price was going up. It's made by Hinterberg, so is the Hinty Stretch. They have a great website and there are over 3000 members in the Hinty group on Yahoo. Amie

Since I am a GammillClassic plus owner I would question not just the size of the throat but the way the table is made. Some of the tables seem kind of rickety but I haven't seen how or what the 17" one is made out of. . . .
