I have had my HQ for about 6 months and love it!!!! I paid about $7900 well worth it. Couldn't afford a Gamill and after trying short arms with frames (wasn't impressed) We were sold on the HQ 16 drove over 4 hours to try it out once we did we were sold!!! Even my husband wasn't upset with the prices.

If you have any questions at all you just call HQ's 800 number and they will answer any questions. Happy hunting

Has anyone compared the Tin Lizzy to the HQ16? I would appreciate any and all info.

Shandar, I myself would go with the HQ16. I test drove both and IMHO the HQ16 was much better built.

Thank you, Cathy. After lots of research and asking tons of questions, I decided to go with the HQ16. It seems best for my situation and budget. I''''m going to try to order it over the next couple of weeks. :)

I have had my Ellie (HQ16) for 3 years and absolutely LOVE her! I also do quilts for customers so she is very busy and quilts like a dream. I could not afford a Gammill or any of the other long arms and Ellie does just fine and I'm glad I got her. The company has amazing customer service - never in a rush to get you off the phone. Practice, practice, practice is the key. Good luck - if you get an HQ16 I do believe you will be very happy.

Blessings, Vicki

What type sewing machines you do all have with the HQ16? I'm getting interested again . I checked on the gambils but they are to pricey for my budget. ~Abbigail~
