Batiks with longarm - needles and thread

Hello All,

I'm close to purchasing the HQ Simply Sixteen longarm. Moving from a midarm, I now need to consider which longarm needle is best for batiks. From what I've read so far, the thread choice determines the needle choice. Can you folks direct me to the best choice thread and needle? Any tips for quilting batiks will be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest calling Handi Quilter, here in North Salt Lake. The girls that work there and teach are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The other place that you could call and ask questions is Daines Cotton Shop in Sandy Utah. They are HQ dealers.

I have the HQ Fusion and love it.
