Needle Stuck Down

Post by denisehone » Sun Sep 21, 2014 9:25 am

The needle is stuck down on my machine. I can't turn the wheel to raise it. I have tried holding stop and single stitch with no success. I have restarted my machine and checked the connections. I can't get it up. Anyone know how I can fix this? I have a Gammill Optimum. Thank you

My DH does our LA quilting. I asked him your question. We have a Nolting, which is much like Gammill. There is the wheel towards the front of the machine, but there is also a wheel on the back for just such an occasion as this. He says to look for that and try it. He also would, with no more info than this, guess that you may have a bird's nest of thread in the bobbin area. Have you checked that out?
