I am looking into buying a 712 T. Most reviews said it sews like a dream. My question is Can you Machine quilt with it? I've read some reviews that they fit perfectly in older cabinets and I've also read where the base of the machine is too big and the cabinet had to be altered. Cottage Craft works sells the machine and makes Amish cabinets for them.

I know this post is older but was wondering if either of you ended up purchasing the 712 T. My husband would really like to have one and I'm just not so sure about it.

I purchased it in feb 2013 I am pleased with it it took a minor adjustment on my old treadle cabinet and it fit right in it sew really good I have not tried to quilt on it but I'm sure you could it really gives the legs a work out peddling it my 12 year old grand daughter can use it as good as I do. I recommend it hope this helps
