Flynn quilt frame

Post by lorettav » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:19 pm

I bought a Flynn quilting frame and I love it. It is a 48" frame but my hubby bought longer wood dowels from Loew's and now it is 60". I use it with my regular sewing machine. All I need now is a machine with a deep throat.

Flynn quilt site, has Contact Us section? or phone number can they help? They should have trade show demos for us to learn and practice.

Well, Flynn is out of the box, on my table, reading instructions, oh how I hate reading instructions. Must have been dyslectic in my previous life, for 3Dimensional schematic diagrams make sense to me, and I can repair the wiring on your stove, fridge, electrical panel, but not Flynn. How many years I've had it? I keep asking the quild ladies to come over 2 brains better than mine alone. But one deserted soul.

eyelove2quilt that was my situation, not knowing how to load quilt, was scared of doing it wrong, and break my sew machine. I found Flynn has a tutorial on his site, which helped..

John Flynn is always at the Houston Int'l. Quilt Festival demonstrating that frame. He makes it look very easy but I've never seen him load the quilt. I'm sure that with enough practice you can master just about anything.

I have a flynn not out of the box. It did not come with the rods to load the quilt on. I have never used it. I bought a tiara long arm. Would like to sell the flynn for 50 or best offer, buyer pays shipping. Any Takers?
