Serging is fun! I have a Janome with the Diff. Feed. I even made a quilt on the thing. Wasn't to pretty but it was fun to make. Have fun, Amie :o)

I have a four thread surger and don't like it. One thread continually breaks and it is the one that is hardest to thread. Want to get rid of it.

I have a Viking and really like using it for pillowcases. I have used it to make Kaye Woods "6 Hour Quilt", which is a flip and sew pattern. Goes really fast and is done back and front at the same time.

I want to learn how to put in the elastic waist for PJs. Need to study up a little.

Glad you got your machine, let us know how you like it.

A friend loaned me her serger ... she says she used it and used it, but it came unthreaded and I cannot get it to work for me .... I am sure I am threading it incorrectly. Very frustrating.
I have a stack of pillowcases I have made for Christmas presents ... I want to serge them ..... patience patience patience .... I will keep trying

I have a very nice serger but the threading has, without a doubt , got to be done in order---sequence according to the directions, if not it will break either the bottom or upper looper thread every time

I have a babylock imagine. I just took the lessons. It is so easy to use. I love it. I change thread colors all the time and no problems. Highly recommend.

I have a White brand Serger. It sews great! A little hard to thread the lower loopers...but, it does a great job. No problems with it and I've had it for years. I made a Knit dress with set in sleeves with my Serger once. It does great on finished edges. Jeans, etc.

Singer 5 thread. Really like it. The threading is pretty easy as long as I tie the new thread onto the old thread and pull it through. The book gives really good directions as well.

I would love to have one of the Baby Locks but don't use the serger a whole lot and the Singer works very well.

(Have to edit because I make loads of mistakes with my typing. Must be the keyboard!!!);
