Viking Sapphire 830 with Fabumotion Stitch Regulator

Post by Sandie0213 » Sun May 10, 2009 8:11 am

I'm considering purchasing a new Viking Sapphire 830 with the Fabumotion Stitch Regulator. I have a Viking machine so I'm confident about that, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has the stitch regulator. If you have or had one, would you please share your opinion? Thanks.

Hi Sandie,

It looks like nobody here has tried it. Have you seen the Yahoo group called "fabricmover"? You might find some good info there.

If you haven't joined a Yahoo group, it's pretty painless.

I have the Fabumotion. I've done a lot of practice stitching and one quilt. So far I like it. It did take a while and quite a few practice pieces for me to decide on the tension adjustments. I've been keeping a notebook so I don't have to go through that each time I set it up. Keep in mind that there's a limited area of quilting space in the window so you kind of have to plan ahead as you move along. But I'm finding it really helps me keep my stitching consistent. I have a couple more tops to quilt as soon as my sewing room gets back in shape, which I hope is soon.
