A similar thing to the quilt halo came with my sewing machine, and I tried it once and didn't really care for it. I feel like I have more control over the fabric when using just my hands (and Machingers quilting gloves).

I have a hoop that I use and move along from section to section....I like it because it gives my hands something solid to hold onto. I tried the halo that a friend gave to to try, but I didn't find it worked for me as well. I use the machingers gloves for small projects.

I bought the halo. I haven't really used it yet. I've been working on a queen & I don't have much room for a halo. I use my machingers & giddyup!
