I know I've walked up to many LA machines set up at quilt shows and boy was it fun and easy to do a few lines of stitches on the preloaded quilt. I helped a vendor set up a LA at a local quilt show and get a quilt on it and get the thing sewing perfect stitches and I knew it wasn't for me. I don't have the passion to do LAing unless it's when I walk up to one all set up and ready to go.

I have a long arm and the best thing you can do is watch the you tube videos. And just practice...At first I bought sheets at the local thrift store and would practice. I started out doing quilts for my moms church. After alot of baby steps, I now have my own quilting business. My first machine was a Juki TL98Q on a lil gracie frame...I now have worked my way up to a Gammill Classic Plus which is my dream machine. Dont give up, it will all work itself out.
