Qbot Computer for Quilting

Post by QuiltLuvr » Tue May 26, 2009 10:34 am

Has anyone bought and is using a Qbot computer. I understand it works on serveral different machines but I will be using it on a mid-arm Viking Mega Quilter. I would appreciate any comments. I am thinking of purchasing one for a retirement gift for myself but I can't afford any mistakes.

Try getting on Yahoo groups. There are several quilt groups you can get on that talk about all of the 'computer' add ons for quilting.

I actually just tried one over the weekend on the Husqvarna long arm. It seemed to be a great gadget. It seemed to do just about everything that every other comuterized system seemed to do. The price is very I good compared to some of them.

I just purchased a QBOT with a Pfaff Grand Quilter 1200. Wish my throat was larger but am thrilled with with it all. The QBOT is incredible. Easy to use. Makes me look skilled.

I purchased a Pfaff Grand Quilter 18.8 in October of 2009 with the Imperial Frame, before my quilter was shipped to the dealer that I purchased it from, I contacted a dealer in Oregon and purchased the Qbot. It is very user friendly and it does make you feel like you know what you doing. There are also webinars held every month on the qbot that are free. They have a Qbot club that meets once a month, both early afternoon or later in the evening the same day. Plenty of information is showen every month. Good luck with your purchase, how to hear you asking questions at the webinars. You don't have to own a Qbot to listen in on the webinars either.

I have the Viking Mega Quilter with the Qbot and so far am really having fun with it. I have just practiced quilting pieces of fabrics together and now am ready to do a quilt.
