Bernina 1530

Post by Sister2 » Thu Mar 05, 2009 5:50 am

I just purchased a Bernina 1530 on eBay and am very nervous about it. It is used and the price was right for me. Does anyone still have a 1530 and is there anything special I need to know about it? Do you know if the Bernina stitch regulator will work with it? My sister has a 1230 and loves it and thinks I will also loves this one.

Your thoughts please....

Sister2 - I don't have anything to tell you about your Bernina but I'm sure someone on here will answer your question soon.

I'm close to you - I live in Cypress (far NW Houston). Are you a member of a guild? and what quilt shops do you go to?

Sisters2 - May I suggest you stop in at your local Bernina shop and talk to them about the 1530. I believe the BSR will not work on any of the older models, but I could be wrong. I own a 630E. If you need to purchase presser feet for the machine the dealer will be able to tell you whether to purchase the old style or the new style. Do go to the Bernina USA web site. You might find some very valuable information.

Bernina Sewing Machines are well built and will last for many years.
